- Help with Dell OptiPlex GX110
- Posted by Hockey@fan.org on November 15th, 2004
I picked up a machine someone discarded -
A Dell OptiPlex GX110 with Intel Pentium III 600 MHz (slot). It had
been stripped, but motherboard, CPU, RAM, floppy drive remained.
After some fussing I finally got it to respond. I installed a hard
drive and it booted. But then it died with the this flashing Alert:
Previous attempts at booting this system have failed the checkpoint
[Size]. For help in resolving this problem, please note this
checkpoint and contact Dell support.
Anyone suggest anything I can try? Or should I simply pitch it?
Thank you

sounds like a hard drive configuration error to me. hit F2 at startup
and check
the BIOS.
