http://192.168.1.1 is this the IP for the linksys routers? I can't seem to
get into mine.

Use IPCONFIG /ALL or WinIPCfg and find out what your Gateway IP is... That
is your router.

Are you using a hardwired connection? If you can't find the correct
address, you can do a hard reset on the router which should return it to the
default address. I am assuming you mean you can't get to the login page.

Check the manual. It is usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

Try pinging both of those, confirming first that the
computer also is in same IP address range.

Tried that didn't work, when I use ipconfig /all xp kills the command window
any other sugestions. Thanks in advance. Yes i meant I can't get into the

If you are in a command window and run ipconfig /all the window should NOT
go away. If it does, you're infected with a virus or have some really crappy
internet security software running.

You should be able to get the info from the properties of the network
connection icon as well...

If you mean that you type it at the start->run box, first
open a command prompt window with "CMD".

If the networking tools themselves aren't installed, check
windows' installed features in add/remove programs (install
them).

192.168.1.1 should be the router. If you hold the
reset button on the rear of the router in for 10
seconds, it will reset to the default, in case you
changed it to something else.
