This is an older monitor I picked up at a yard sale, a Samsung 900 19
inch CRT. Worked great for the first couple of years, then I noticed
the color would shift from a yellow tint to a bluish tint and back a
time or two before settling down.

The other day I notice up at the top third or so a flickering, almost
strobing effect. Tried the standard stuff, unplugged it, rebooted,
updated drivers, changed resolution, so forth. Problem persists.

Sounds like the monitor is crapping out, at least to me. Granted I'm
no expert and that is why I'm asking for help and or opinions.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any other CRT screens or magnetic things nearby? A TV, or speakers
close or directly through the wall in the next room perhaps? Otherwise, it
sounds like it is packing its bags and planning a route up to monitor
heaven.
