- Pagefile position on drive
- Posted by Steve James on February 6th, 2004
Hi
I have my pagefile (WIN-XP-PRO) on a secondary drive, I notice in the
de-frag 'chart' that it is in the middle of the drive. Would it be better at
the beginning of the drive? and if so how do I move it?. I have Norton
System Works speed disk if this helps ?

It doesn't make much difference. Data transfer is faster at the beginning of the disk, but access time is shorter in the middle of the disk.
