Gotta agree with "William". Even IBM who has one of the best reps in the
industry for HDDS had a problem with one of their lines. After many months,
a lot of money and many, many unhappy customers it was found out that the
problem was lubricant. These drives sold for tens of thousands of dollars.
Its the same with IDE and SCSI drives. That's why you have RAID,
auto-logging, backup and hot swap facilities etc etc. You get what you pay
for most of the time.
