Samsung Printer Shit
Posted by Drucker McFindlayshropshire on June 18th, 2005

I bought a Samsung ML=2250 based on the "reviews" - hey, we all know
how "honest" they are, don't we!
The pice of crap was DOA out of the box. Dealer response (Whitby's
Bestbyte) - call Samsung!
Want shit - buy Samsung!
Want reliable? Buy something else.

In the US if it was DOA out of the box they definely will replace it.
Its when you open it or use it for over two weeks or longer and it
dies then you have to hassle dealing with the manufacturer.

In the UK the seller is,"Alway" responsible for the sale of the
item,not the manufacturer.

If you bought the product using a credit/debit card tell the seller
that you are have contacted the credit card company/bank and have
asked them to initiate a,"Credit Service Denial" investigation whilst
you resolve the issue with them. This means(and tell them) that it's
possible that,"All" their credit sales are suspended.

You may well be surprised how fast the issue is resolved :-)

Maybe you should be castigating your dealer. Obviously he doesn't
want you back. FYI my Samsung ML4500 has been chirping along for
about four years now.

I thought the rules were,

Computers = Dell or Toshiba or HP

Monitors = Iyama or NEC or Samsung

Printers = Canon or Epson or HP

Thats for ink jet printers.

For laser Ive seen some cheap Brothers on sale here but mostly its
Samsung. I dont think anyone else bothers selling lasers in the cheap
end that much anymore. HP is supposedly OK in the mid-higher end.

LOL, for a split second I thought you'd written "castrate".

I don't believe a US dealer has the option to refuse to take
back merchandise that was dead as-sold, expect if they have
this very clearly stated in a visible location prior to
purchase... and even then it may not be enforceable.

Depends- for CRTs, nothing beats Trinitron, IMO.

Depends on what- size, budget, ink or laser, features.
