Is there software one can purchase to run network driven scanners? Some
sort of after market app.
I have XP Sp2 and have a Brother Multi FUnction printer/scanner/fax that
runs on the ethernet LAN. The app that came with it does not work any
longer and I thought I might be able to buy something that will with this
scanner. I know XP has a wizard but Im lookign for something that is 1 step
button to scan and put file on harddrive.

You didn't say which model you have. The Brothers site has drivers for
Multifunction machines built for WinXP- the 3100C and 3200C drivers where
what came up when I did a search for "Brothers Multifunction Drivers".

When I tried the link I sent, it gave me a "we are currently doing

thanks....thats the 82mb file right?. Iv downloaded it and installed many
times. They have not updated that yet to work with SP2

No, it's an 85.79 MB file (Full drivers and software). When you open the
page, it ask for the Operating System, and Windows 98 is showing as default.
Change that in the drop down box to Window XP and click "Go". The page will
change and it will give you multiple files to download. Click on the top
(first) one- the "More Information" link at the right, and that will take
you to the download link.

I tried to send an email to your personal account, but it was returned as
not valid. I had included screenshots of the Brothers webpage for exactly
what you should see to get the file you want.

thx...i now what it is. I have downloaded and installed in many times. Its
not updated yet to correct the problem they have with SP2
