scsi ultra 2 vs ata 100 and 133
Posted by sniper_Nolight on July 13th, 2004

i have a ata 100 and a ata133 drive in my pc - these disks is for storage
and running my gamea and applications - my windoes runs from and older scsi
cheetah 9,6 gb disc ultra 2/80 mb sec 10000 rpm

should i remove this old scsi drive and install windows on the ata 133 disk
instead and hope for more improvement or is this scsi drive still superior
to the newer ide drives?

if i should remove it would it be best to install windows on the seagate
barracude ata100 40 gb or on the maxtor diamond 9 ata133 120 gb?

ive thought about leaving the seagate as one disk but make the maxtor in two
drives - so it will be 40, 60, 60 gb and then install windows on on of the
60's or is it ok to install windows on hte seagate (ata100) and expect as
high performance? - and just use the ata133 120 gb for games apps and
storage (easier with all the space)

sorry for my english if i dont make sense - im dansih)

thx in advance
