How do You think which hdd will be better for home PC - Barracuda 7200.10 or
Seagate Barracuda ES?
HDD will work in as single drive (not in raid).
Main advantage should be efficiency (performace) and reliability (solid).
Noise level and temperature are less important for me.
These hard drives are very similar and I just don't know which one to
choose.
Can You plese help me.

Well, choosing "performance and reliablity" is not really
criteria, is it? I mean, are these not implied in every
purchase, excepting if someone just wants the cheapest thing
possible?

I think most of the benefits of the ES line are lost if not
used in several-drive RAID arrays, but it might not hurt to
have the features if you ever did want to put it in an
array. So essentially for your current intended use, I
don't think this choice will matter as much as other
variables like luck and system fitness and your backup
strategies.
