- selecting RAM
- Posted by Newbury on October 21st, 2005
I am trying to find two 1 gig cards to replace my two 512 cards but I am not
sure what will work. My mobo is Intel D845BV and memory requirements are
"any 184-pin DDR 200/266 SDRAM Dual Inline DIMMS unbuffered and
non-registered single or double sided DIMMs SPD only and ECC DIMMs 2.5 volt"
This seems to me I might have a choice but I am not sure. Could someone
please point me to a site where I can find what would be best for this
system?
TIA.

Go to www.crucial.com with the computer in question and take their memory
test.

Try:
www.kingston.com
or
www.crucial.com
Both these sites ask you for your MOBO details and help recommend the best
RAM for you.

Thanks to both responses but I decided just to replace this old box with a
newer one. Not the cheapest way out but the best. That Intel D915PBL and the
630 look nice together.
