- [Slightly OT]Sound recording

Anyone know where I can get a good sound recorder (I have a microphone)
that will record what I say and store it in mp3 or some comparable
format? All I've come across is some lame shareware software that
limits you to 15 seconds and only saves in .wav format. Yecchk.

Hi. Have a look at audiograbber. It's primarily a cd ripper but it has a
cool line-in sampler that will record and code to mp3. Good software and
the price can't be beaten.

Did you get any software CDs with your pc?
Check them out for any software related to your soundcard - an audio editor
is usually bundled with soundcard software.
