- UMAX ASTRA 6450 - Need something

I was given a UMAX ASTRA 6450 FIREWIRE flatbed scanner. I have no
manual(s), nor do I have power supply which probably is a Power
Adapter. I have firewire, but no adapter. I can't find any specs on
what adapter is needed for this scanner.
A friend told me 1.7A, 12V, but he is unreachable now, and I don't
know if he is right or not.
Anyway - does anyone know what I need? And where I might get it?
The only related spec I find is that the scanner draws 12W.

I found a 1.5V at Radio Shack for some $25, so I bought it. Now if I
only had a 6-pin/6-pin firewire cable.
The scanner lights up, but does nothing. Probably okay since I don't
have the firewire cable.
