What means "unbuffered" in term "unbuffered DDR400 DIMM"? Are there any
"buffered DDR400 DIMMs"?
Thanx,
Dominik

In RAM terms, the opposite of 'buffered' is 'registered'. The following
article gives an explaination of this, and also an explanation of ECC /
non-ECC DIMMs. http://www.2cpu.com/articles/44_1.html

Dominik Roblek's log on stardate 03 stu 2004
Regular memory, used in 95% of SOHO PCs. IOW, nothing stands between
memory chips and NB.
I don't think so. There are Registrated DDRs, but last buffered memories I
saw were ones on old P6 with _huge_ EDO modules.
