- Vista 32bit home premium with an R200 or R300 printer

Hi
I have been told by Epson that they do not supply drivers for the R200 /
R300 inkjet printers for vista but that there are generic drivers built into
vista that I can use to run the printers. I was hoping someone would tell me
how that impacts on their use? Can you do all the same stuff?
Also can you use these Epson applications with the printers / vista?
EPSON Easy Photo Print
Epson Photo Quicker
Epson Print CD
Thanks
Pete

A generic drivers will work with some limitations. It might not allow you to print at all possible resolutions. The print might not be perfectly centered on the page. It probably won't let you adjust color.
Any application that has a print function will print with the generic driver, unless it has been purposely crippled to allow it to print to only a specific printer.

May or may not work. Best to buy hardware that has specific drivers for
the OS you want to use the hardware on.
