Wake On Lan - Not Working
Posted by dxyzc@nospam.com on April 6th, 2005

Hi there,

I have a Dell XPS tower system I am using as a music server. When I try
to do a Windows network browse of the XPS system, it never wakes up and
takes the request. I have checked the BIOS and WOL seems to be enabled.
Any thoughts how I can get this to work?

TIA,
D

If I'm not mistaken, there is a jumper on the board, that has to be set
correctly for it to work

I had to turn it on in the driver settings. Set to 'OS Controlled' and
now Windows network request wakes it up.

Thanks,
D
