My mainboard only supports USB 1.1, but I have a 2.0 external drive.
For convenience, I'd like to connect the drive to the port on the
front of the case, but that port is connected via pins to the
mainboard.
I've founf USB 2.0 PCI cards which have an internal USB connector, but
the connector is a standar A connector instead of pins.

Option 1 - Is there a pci card which features internal pins instead of
a standard A female?

Option 2 - Is there a USB A male to USB pin out adapter?

Option 3 - If I made my own "Option 2", do any of the wires have to be
swapped or crossed?

Option 4 - Any other ideas on getting USB 2.0 from PCI to the front of
my case?

Check out www.frontx.com -- they have a really neat product which
replaces an existing 5 1/4 bay with a bunch of ports.

You run cables from the back of the machine, thru the box, and out
thru the front thingie. It's much neater than it sounds.

I'm a very happy user of the product.
