Warning! CPU or Jumper setting has been changed
Posted by moverdear@farmerstel.com on July 1st, 2005

I am recieving this error on boot. I had this same problem a year or
so back and can't remember what I did to fix the problem. None of the
settings had or have been changed. I did not have to change any CMOS
settings to remedy this before. Any ideas on what I need to try?

After counting the memory and initializing everything, it shows the
warning and stops. Hitting F1 will finish booting and everything if
fine from there, but it happens every time I reboot.

AMD Athlon 1GHZ, Epox 8KHA motherboard

I think some sort of spyware had written info to a boot file the last
time, but I can't seem to find the info I had on it. I have been
unsuccessful in trying to search files also.
Thx for the help

Which is very helpful for the readers who cannot simultaneously see
the message and the subject line. Similar comments apply to the
elegant context quoting. It is always helpful to loudly DEMAND
help, and hold back as much information as possible. This neatly
exposes the readers with the best psychic abilities.

so the best thing to do is not actually help anyone, but jump in
complaining about how they were asking for help.

get a page up,
cursor to last good config, and hit return. Let computer boot, then shutdown
and restart.
Let`s see if that does anything.

Sounds about right, since you didn't bother to quote anything. I
have no idea what, if anything, you are talking about. It seems as
if you are studiously ignoring advice about how to post.

move on falcon, since you help nobody anyway in most of your other post
also. U seem to get off on telling everyone how they did this or that
wrong instead of helping.
