So, it came up with a client yesterday that they're ditching MSIE to
"remove the threat of Microsoft" from their machines. Of course, they
use QuickBooks, and some CRM package I didn't recognize, both of which
use Internet Explorer for their embedded browser.

Does anyone know of anything that can go especially wrong with Visual
studio programs? (I'm assuming the CRM program is some sort of Visual
Basic program wrapped around MS Access, and QuickBooks is Visual C++.)
My guess is that it probably doesn't matter any more than any other
Windows exploits.

The main thing we're talking to the client about is basic network
security so he doesn't need to have our techs come out ever couple
weeks to scrub spyware of their systems.
