Encryption software for removable media

Encryption software for removable media: Posted by David H. Lipman on September 27th, 2006; Our enterprise MIS/IS group has instituted a new policy on Memory Cards and Flash Drives.
The requirement is either the hardware must have password protection or we have to use
encryption software to protect the data if the device is lost.

I'm looking for only MS Windows platform suggestions.
