- Password lost on a USB Jump drive
- Posted by greg.robin@comcast.net on September 6th, 2005
I have a 1GB Lexar jump drive. I partitioned half the drive into a
"secured" drive with a password. Unfortunately, I made the pw so good
that I cant remember it (yea yea, save the, "I am an idiot posts").
Now I have a flashdrive in which I can only access half of the useable
space. I would prefer to find a way to get the pw and retrieve the
files. Several posts over the net say its possible but of course no
one shows how to do it. Is it possible and how? Even if something only
shows the first couple letters would probably jog my memory. If it
really isn't possible how do I repartition the whole thing so I can
get it back to its original state? Feel free to email me if you don't
want to post, thanks.
