- Address Decode Space?
- Posted by News Group on August 24th, 2005
Hi,
I have a Mainboard with four RDRAM slots.
The Mainboard will support a maximum of 2GB's RDRAM.
The Mainboard has a maximum DRAM Address Decode Space of 4GB.
What does it mean to have an Address Decode Space twice that of the physical
memory supported?
Could I have a configuration of 2 x C-RIMM + 2 x 1GB Module?
Would the above configuration start at address 0x80000000?
Any explanations received with thanks.
Colin
