Apps stealing focus?
Posted by Sara on November 2nd, 2004

Hello

I have a problem with applications stealing focus in windows xp pro.
I have installed tweakui and disabled this item ('Allow applications to
steal focus'; under General/focus tab).
This works for about a couple of minutes then reverts back to applications
stealing focus.
On re-checking tweakui I see that the tab has enabled itself again.
How do I make it a permanent feature? I do not want applications to steal
focus as I find it very annoying.
Appreciate any help with this .

Thanks

Sara

Works fine here. Are you changing the setting while logged in as an
administrator?

Hi

Thanks for the reply. No only changed the setting whilst logged on as
myself.
Will try changing it from an Admin screen.

Regards

Sara
