- British PM meets the Simpsons
- Posted by Rob K on November 24th, 2003
Looking at the list of most popular newsreaders in this group, where Mr
Brockman has a very prominent place, I think it's safe to say this is a
relatively Simpsons-friendly group.
Just heard that British PM Tony Blair will appear in The Simpsons. It's
really his own voice.

TB : Must fly now, I've got to meet a Dutch couple at gate 23, Cheerio
!
Homer : We've just met Mr Bean ...
<unquote, sort of>
Well done Mr Blair !

It was hilarious, as usual. Not only are the Simpsons greeted at the
airport by Tony Blair, but Homer offers Tony a dollar if he'll shut up.
Blair keeps blabbing, but snatches the buck from Homer's hand! "Thank
you, anyway." Tony gets a credit as do several other high profile guest
voices.
Are they showing the Simpsons in Holland again? As I recall, it was
pulled after a year or so because the network looked at it as a kid's
cartoon show, and nobody got it.

even Kinnock wasn't so pathetic as to start in a CARTOON! Is this another of
"Chereee's" doings one wonders?

Yes, but that was in the very early days ... The networks, realizing
their mistake, soon went "D'oh" and the Simpsons have been all over the
place ever since.

Probably. Ever since someone mentioned that the media & press gallery
