Burning DVD's & CD's
Posted by Sseaott on April 3rd, 2004

Currently, I have Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum on my notebook. I am
buying a new desktop in about a week and had a question or two.

1.) I hardly ever burn audio CD's, instead of buying the new Roxio Easy CD
& DVD Creator software, couldn't I just use Windows Media Player to burn an
occasional audio cd?

2.) As far as burning DVD's go the only program I would be using to do that
would be DVDXCopy Express Since I dont own a DV camcorder, owning Easy CD
& DVD Creator 6 would be pointless, don't you think? Especially since I
hardly even burn audio cd's as it is?

3.) When the time comes that I do get a DV camera, my favorite editing
software has always been Pinnacle Studio. In version 8, you can not only
edit your movies but you can now burn them to DVD with the program itself.

So I guess maybe I answered my own question? For now, I don't need to buy
any kind of other 'burning' software, as for what I would burn now I already
have (Windows Media Player for audio cds & DVDXCopy for copying of DVD's).

One question though. If I wanted to use a DVDRW disk to burn data to, would
I need a program to do this or would Windows XP already have that built in
for me? If I would need a program, then I guess buying Easy CD & DVD
Creator might be necessary?

Thanks.
