- Can't Download Files From Internet
- Posted by MikeDaBear on December 31st, 2003
When trying to download files from the internet, the
download window opens and the download to file graphic
begins but there is no movement of the download bar or any
info displayed at Estimated Time Left etc.
After about 6 to 7 seconds a warning window opens:
IE cannot download from site www.xxx.com IE was not able
to open this internet site. Requested site is either
unavailable or cannot be found. I have tried at least 6
sites and had the same reuslts.
I'm using IE 6 SP1 on 98SE with a cable modem. I've tried repairing IE
and going back to a previous version and updating to IE 6 and
around and around. Any suggestions?

Can't help you fix IE but until someone can help, be aware that other
browsers such as Netscape, for example, can download as well as IE and
usually without the hassles.
