- cant read mdb folder in ms access
- Posted by steve on April 7th, 2005
afte booting up my pc i can no longer read a data base created in mdb
using ms access
now as i open the data base it just freezes (thought it was a broken
shortcut )
after opening another version access to this file is fine , however if
i scan a membership card to find details of client it says not found
in data base
could i repair the file that keeps freezing as i think that file must
have current members database in it
would appreciate any ideas
many thanks

Some things to try (NB: BACK UP YOUR DATA BEFORE PROCEEDING).
1--Restore your .mdb from the most recent backup.
2--Run the 'Repair and Compact' utility: Tools/Database/Utilities
3--If (2) fails, you could try to import tables into a new, blank database.
4--Try the Jet Compact Utility from Microsoft:
