- cdr data lost?
- Posted by contech24 on February 16th, 2004
Hi everyone,
I have encountered a strange problem. About 4 months ago I had burned
personal data onto a cdr and I have read it several times prior till today
and there was data on there. However, today when I go back to reading the
cdr, it's giving me a message that it's a blank cdr! Anyone know why this
happens?!

I just wanted to make it clear that it's cdrs and not cdrws.

I have seen this issue with Roxio and Direct CD. If you burn the CD on a PC
that has the option for Direct CD installed and then you try to read it on a
PC that doesn't have Direct CD, it will read the disc as blank.

Have you tried cleaning the disc? Is it possible it's been damaged?
