- Character Map Problem.
- Posted by MikeyMuchos@gmail.com on April 17th, 2005
Hi
Trying to use a black triangle character within Namo Web Editor I get a
question mark instead. Using the Windows Character Map and pasting into
Namo from there, I get a question mark again.
If I enter the required character from the Win Character Map into Word
I get the desired black triangle. If I then copy this from Word and
paste it into Namo, it becomes a question mark again. All these
operations are done with the "Times New Roman" font selected.
Any suggestions please?
Regards,
Mikey

You need to set Namo to work in Unicode -- that's if it's capable.

Thanks a lot. I'm sure that you're spot-on there. Unicode wasn't
selected in Namo, so I did as you suggested. It didn't actually stop
the triangle being interpreted as a question mark but I'm sure it's a
significant factor. It's prolly just that there's another factor
lurking somewhere that I haven't found yet.
I appreciate the tip.

Try a simple reboot, after setting Namo to Unicode. Or even
try simply shutting down Namo, and reopening.

That should've worked shouldn't it?
The Namo guys tell me I've got it wrong, I'm beginning to believe
they're right.
