- chkdsk

I am running chkdsk on a Windows 2000 system, 40G harddrive. I have
created a boot CD (using Bert PE), that gives you a virtual instance of
Windows XP. It mounts all of your harddrives for you, and is a great
recovery tool. I kicked of chkdsk on the windows 2000 drive yesterday
at like 11:00am. It is still running, which is fine. It has finally
reached stage 4 of 5, the verification process. However, chkdsk has
been stuck at 2% of the verification process for the last hour and a
half at least. Is this normal behavior? I am VERY reluctant to stop
chkdsk since I have so much time invested in running this utility. Any
advice would be appreciate. Thanks!
