- colors

I gave a digital camera to a little girl as a gift. She entered the Arc software,
plugged in the port. Everything was going fine - then her computer changed the color
settings from 16 bit high color to 16 bit (640x480). Try as we might we can't get it
to change back. We put in the new settings hit apply - restart the computer and it
goes right back to 16 bit. All of her pictures are blurry now, even ones that were
already in the computer before. Microsoft site said to ask a MVP. Can you help? She
has an IBM desktop with Windows 98se. Thanks.

Try updating the graphics card drivers and DirectX.

Go to the web site of the card and download the latest drivers.
Save them to disk and open Device Manager. Double click
on the display adapter, choose the 'Driver' tab and click
'Update driver'. Choose 'Display a list...' and then 'Have
disk'. Point the wizard to the new driver *.inf file.
For DirectX, go to:

CdlSrn,
I would say Mike is right on the money here. Just follow his instructions
and you should be up and running in a couple of minutes. He said exactly
right.
Good luck,
Laffctx
