I have been getting blank spaces in my screen and my Icons in my inbox are

I believe this is an easy fix altho I can't remember the specifics. I think
you have to delete the icon shell or cache and then reboot. It rebuilds
itself. Wait or search for the specific instructions.

The easiest way to clear the icon cache (without installing
software), is to boot into Safe Mode and back again.
