There's probably a simple answer to this question, unfortunately I don't
know it. I'm currently using CrazyBrowser with IE 6.0 and Windows 98SE. On
the bottom, located on the status bar, there are some little icons. One is
an eye, which, if you double click on it, tells you whether or not any
cookies were blocked due to current restrictions. There is another,
directly to the left of that eye, that I am unfamiliar with, and would love
to know what it does. If I double click on it, a red X appears. If I
double click on it a second time, the red X of course vanishes. Does anyone
have any idea what is being blocked when the red X is visible? Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

It's the 'Offline' icon. If the red X appears on it, you have
chosen to work offline.

It disconnects from the internet. Note that it doesn't disconnect your
phone connection if you're on a dial-up.

It shows whether or not you're online/offline.
click it and a very small red x appears. Now click on a link anywhere and
you'll get an alert box saying you're offline.
