Critical Updates Download Page
Posted by UnderDog on August 17th, 2003

Does anyone know if there is a page that stores all the critical updates for
Windows XP? I have located the page for Windows 98,
http://microsoft.com/security/articl.../windows98.asp ,
but after much searching, I cannot locate a page like this for Windows XP.
I would like to be able to download all the critical updates and put them on
a CD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

An alternate way to download any update for any version of Windows is
to go to:
<http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com>
When the screen comes up, DO NOT click on "Scan for updates". Instead,
click on the link "Windows update catalog" under "See Also" in the left
pane. If you do not see this entry, then click on the "Personalize
Windows Update" link under "Other Options" and then click on the
checkbox beside "Display the link to Windows Update Catalog under SEE
ALSO".

After clicking "Windows update catalog", select your OS and a list of
upgrades appears catagorized by "critical", etc. Select what you want
and the upgrades will be downloaded to your computer for later
installation.

I prefer this method because I don't have to remember different links
for each OS. The drawback is that you have to use Internet Explorer.

HTH,
John

Katherine, you shouldn't have jumped in on someone elses thread.
You should have used 'New Post' instead of 'Reply Group' (which I presume
you did).
Anyway try again using 'New Post' and putting your own subject line in where
required ('Epson Printer' or whatever).
Also in your post you gave no details of what Epson model, however if you
don't want to post again I could but suggest you click the link below to an
'Epson' web page.

Hopeing to hear from you in your own thread perhaps.
