- Cursor jumping around
- Posted by rfdjr1@optonline.net on June 29th, 2005
This problem croped up a few days ago. I haven't changed any settings for the
mouse and can't figure it out.
When I go to clear documents (Windows XP Pro), after I click "Clear" the cursor
jumps to the center of the screen. It does the same ting when I click on the
following two "Okay" buttons to back out to the desktop. This is the only time
I've noticed this weird mouse/cursor behavior. Again, no changes to the mouse
settings (I checked to be sure.) It's an Logitech wireless optical mouse and
keyboard combo. Any ideas as to what it could be? Thanks.

Doesn't yours play-up when the batteries run low?

For my own part, I have never had a thought which I could not set down
in words with even more distinctness than that with which I conceived
it. There is, however, a class of fancies of exquisite delicacy which
are not thoughts, and to which as yet I have found it absolutely
impossible to adapt to language. These fancies arise in the soul, alas
how rarely. Only at epochs of most intense tranquillity, when the
bodily and mental health are in perfection. And at those weird points
of time, where the confines of the waking world blend with the world of
dreams. And so I captured this fancy, where all that we see, or seem,
is but a dream within a dream.

Yeh, sometimes, but SP2 causes it to jump around.

I've had SP2 for quite some time and no problems. This just started a couple of
days ago. And according to the utility for the mouse, the batteries are fine.
The mouse sits in the charger overnight, everynight.

Check for navel lint in the optic recess. Really! I've seen a speck of

Thanks. No navel lint than God! The thing is only jumping around in the couple
of instances I mentioned anyway. Works fine otherwise.
