- Defective Search Routine

I posted a few days ago about my xp search function having nothing but the
dumb dog in the left hand pane. I tried to resolve it by applying sp-1a. I
not only lost my dumb dog by doing that, my xp search dialog box hasn't even
got a title.
I've now got a grey area on the left & white on the right; no dividing line.
The 'search companion' heading on the left & that's all. I killed my dog.
Any suggestions?
