- Defrag Problem

Why can't I defrag? I have shut off screen saver and followed the
instructions, but it will not defrag. Help

Any chance you might want to share some *pertinent* information? Like - what
version of Windows?
For what it's worth, I used to have to boot in safe mode to defrag my
Windows 98 system. The easiest way to do that is when your shut-down menu is
showing, select "Restart computer in DOS mode". Then, at the DOS prompt,
type "Win /d:m" (no quotes) and press enter.

....i had that problem with ME...what i did is grepped
the web and found power defrag...it is trialware...
they give you 30 daze to 'evaluate' the s'ware...
and after 30 daze i delete the s'ware, reload from the
download..and bingo...another 30 daze...been using
the stuff for years...heh...it has other functions...but i
need them not...i just use the defrag...try it...it works..
