I have 2 hard drives both western digital 7200 2meg drives. My c drive a 20
gig and my d drive a 60 gig. The 20 I've had for about 4 years and the 60 a
little over a year. The 20 gig defrags fine but the 60 gig when I try to
defrag it, the screen goes black and my computer restarts. I was running
win2000 now xp pro did it on both. Tried to use Norton's defrag and same
thing. My 20 is my os hard drive and the 60 I use for my media files. I
would really like to defrag it im pretty sure it needs it. Thanks in

Did you shut down all other programs before doing the defrag? Or try it in
Safe mode and see if it makes a difference.
