Try booting to DOS or safe mode. Sorry, I've only had one virus here, when
the kids disabled some things "so that it would boot faster". I'm not
practised at removing viruses, because I don't get them. I use Zone Alarm,
Macafee (sic sp), a hardware firewall, and some caution.

The link I was sent was for BKDR SDBOT.W
Mine is BKDR SDBOT.GEN
I can't find any info on how to get rid of it. I tried what was suggested on
link. Did not work. I've searched on Trend Micro, and Google?????

It might have helped if you had mentioned what antivirus
program you are using. The key is ending the running
process before cleaning, and then removing the startup
entries.

Hit F8 when starting 98 to get to the Menu, drop into Dos find the file and
delete it.

You could have also run Norton's Antivirus in Safe Mode to delete it.
