- Desktop Icon Labels.

When I right-click on my desktop, and select "Arrange Icons By" and then
click on "Lock Web Items On Desktop", all of the
labels below each of my desktop items are highlighted in blue, as one of
them would be if I single left-clicked on ONE of the
desktop items. The blue highlight goes away when I unlock the web items.
This happens even when there are no web items
on my desktop. Is this normal?

Windows defaults. It might be easier to find a 4k app called Disappear. It's
available at Windows Annoyances. Either one resides in your startup folder.
If when you apply the lock it doesn't work, just click on the shortcut in
the startup folder again.

I've run into this, what I do is:
Right click on the desktop > properties > Appearance > Advanced >
choose desktop > color > Other
and choose a color that closest matches my background pix.
