- DING on volume control

Some time ago i lost the DING that i used to get when adjusting my volume
control.
I still have the DING.wav file in my sounds menu - but can find no way of
linking it to the volume adjust control.
WIN 98 SE
Any help would be much appeciated

Control Panel / Sounds ... 'Default sound'.
