- Documents folder won't open.

Can some one tell me how to get rid of the Documents folder off my desktop.
It's the regular icon with the papers sticking out the top but I can't open
it. I've created a shortcut folder which works fine but I cant put the
shortcut into the regular folder. It won't accept it. Don't know what I did
to have this happen. Running Windows 98SE on broadband. TIA for any help
with this.

Back up your registry first.
HOW TO Backup, Edit, and Restore the Registry in Windows
http://support.microsoft.com/search/...b;en-us;322754
Open your registry at the following key, and export it as a .reg file.
Now delete it and reboot.
