- epson c42 printer.
- Posted by Den Machan on August 9th, 2004
Hi all - I have a question which some of you may be able to help me
with. I have an epson c42 printer, and the ink cartriges are not empty
when the status monitor says they are. The problem is that I cannot
carry on using the cartridge, because of a little chip on the back of
it, similar to a mobile phone sim card. Is there any way to disable
this so that I can carry on using the ink until it is actually empty?
Thanks in advance - Den.

There are devices (I've seen them for about $12US) that will reset the
cartridge. I've seen them on the shelf at an office supplies chain, and
they're available from online vendors. Google around for them.
