- Epson Stylus C60 printer.

Despite having Ink set to black in printing preferences, I can't print
black text on my C60 because I'm out of coloured ink. It seems stupid
that I must have coloured ink to use my black ink cartridge. Does anyone
have a way around the problem that doesn't involve buying a colour
cartridge?

There is a setting in the printer preferences>main tab, you have to select
black instead of color in the ink section.
