- Error Starting Program

Windows 98. During startup I get the following box - Error starting program
a reguired DLL file, FLOREX DLL was not found. I click on ok and the box
disappears and I can't see any problems. I have recently downloaded a few
desktop themes and screensavers which are the only things I can think of
that could have caused this. I've tried reinstalling the old theme and
screensaver and restarting but the message still comes up. Any ideas please?

Hi,
i guess the best way to get rid of it, is first of all see whether any
programs are started that might need th dll
You could use Mike Lis startup control, www.mlin.net
Then after de activating them, restart the computer, go to start -> run,
type regedit
In the registry, locate all references to the dll by
edit -> find type florex
Then for each hit, delete the branch one level up (left side)
Restart the pc and it should be ok then.

I can't believe the amount of crap I had on there, particularly as I run
