- Error Winword
- Posted by Neil Greenough on October 24th, 2003
Hey all,
I have recently started having a problem with my comp. It has happened a few
times now and i don't know why as i haven't installed or uninstalled
anything. When i am using MS Word 98, i sometimes get a message saying Error
Winword and so have to close it. It's starting to get annoying now. The
other day i got the error with everything that i was using (MS Powerpoint,
IE 5). I am using MS 98SE
Any suggestions would be appreciated

BTW...
Could you please adjust your Clock/Time Zone settings?
You are posting from the future.
For Windows :
1. Double click the time in the lower right corner of the system
tray.
2. In the dialog box that pops up select the *Time Zone* tab.
3. Use the drop down menu to select the correct entry for "your" TIME
ZONE.
Check "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes
4. Also, Check the box marked Daylight Savings Time.
5. Then click OK to save it.

Thank You Very Much
P.S. It does not matter if you are living on the far side of the
moon.
Your computer clock/date/time zone is incorrect.

I would do a full virus check first. You may then have to reinstall Office.

try removing the template file from word. But first try this using winnows
98se. goto>Start>run>in run type WinWord /a. will reset word. If this don't
work then try this goto>start>find or search in search type Normal.dot make
shore you are looking in local disk C: if not change it. when it finds
normal.dot remove all items that it finds. hope this works for you.
