- Firefox Bookmarks
- Posted by >=Paul= on August 25th, 2006
I run firefox on two computers and want to use the same bookmarks.
Currently I export to a html file and then import it into the second
computer. Can I just copy a file onto a flash memory and transfer it
that way? What file am I looking for and where did Firefox put it?
Thank you.

Assuming XP
<C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.khp\bookmark s.html>

Search your profile for, oddly enough, bookmarks.html :-)
If you had mentioned your OS ... mine, on Win2K, is at:
C:\Documents and Settings\<myusername>\Application
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<randomletters>.defa ult
You are most welcome.

path "application data/mozilla/Firefox/" where you find a profiles.ini
pointing to your profiles folder underneath. Then you have
the "bookmarks.html".
You may as well save the whole "application data/Mozilla/Firefox" tree,
take it to a stick and save back on the other pc.
