Flash and shockwave issues
Posted by Yu Kai-lin on March 22nd, 2005

HI, I've got a PC with Windows XP on it, and I'm using Netscape 7.2.
I've tried repeatedly to download and install Shockwave and Flash from
Macromedia, and it always appears to download, I save the installers in
my Downloads folder, the install says it downloads to my Netscape
plugins folder, and yet, I still can't access shockwave or flash content
on websites. I keep getting the broken filmstrip link. If I open the
same site in Mozilla's Firefox, I have the same problems, since it's so
similar to Netscape. Now, if I open it in IE, I can usually access it.
So, I know my computer can handle the content, but these browsers seem
to be a different story.

So, any clues out there how I can make sure my plugins are actually
being accessed when I go to a page requiring them?

Peace, Love and Rock & Roll,

Kailin
