- Flashdrive

I bought a Sandisk flashdrive and really like it. I was wondering
though, why files and folders can't be used on it like they can on my
desktop--it only stores individual files only. Are there any flash or
thumb drives that can be organized better?
Thanks in advance.

That's wierd. I've got 2 thumbdrives made by different companies. They
both use standard windows filing systems, like Fat and Fat32. It sounds
like yours may use some proprietary Scandisk system that is completely flat.
If you can, format it using the windows explorer utility. Browse to the
device in windows explorer (my computer), right click on the drive and
select "format". Pick Fat or Fat32, it doesn't matter for something
less than a gig anyways.
If you still can't store nested files (tree structure, folder in folder,
etc...) then your device sucks and you should get a different one.

I have a SanDisk Cruzer Micro and I can put folders and files just like I
can on my regular Window's desktop.

I have 2 Sandisk, and 1 Kingston flashdrives. On all of them, I can make
folders, and organize them like a drive. They are working in the FAT mode.
