- Floppy/IDE Controller errors in Device manager

Hi
Got a dual boot XP/W98 PC all fine in XP but device manager in 98 tells me
Primary and secondary IDE and Floppy disk controllers are not working
properly, (yellow exclamation and usual blerb)and I can't see either my DVD
or CDRW in explorer. The PCs been playing up lately at shutdown
Any Ideas for resolution?

Boot into Safe Mode and delete ALL of the
floppy disk controllers. Reboot and allow
Windows to re-detect and install the drivers.
