Fujitsu Lifebook recovery problem
Posted by Cassie on September 8th, 2003

I have recently purchased a Fujitsu Lifebook 535Tx just to play some of the
older adventure games that have a hard time with new computer speed and XP
tolerance. I have the manual and the recovery cd but when I went to restore
the hard drive to factory condition, the computer keeps locking up at 28% of
completion ... and this is true regardless if whether I choose the format
option or not. And this hang-up is always at a ttf font which is being
unpacked. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do about
it? I need all the help I can get. Thanks.

Apologies for the typos. This has not been a good day.

Presumably the recovey CD is damaged in some way.
Maybe a bit of dirt on it that could be cleaned off.
Try copying the CD's contents to another machine, see if you get error at
same file.
If you can copy the CD, then perhaps burn another.
Sometimes an iffy CD can be copyied when it wont work for an install.
